Love Dare & Weekend Update

I made the decision to only do the Love Dare on Monday - Friday and skip out on the weekends and see how it goes. It's not that I can't do it over the weekend or don't have time, but I really don't want Grant to know that I'm doing it, so every time I would go to get it out of my bag over the weekend, I felt like I was sneaking around, and he would come around the corner. So, I'm just going to leave the book at the office, and I'm going to do it during the week.

Anyways, Friday's dare went well, and I'm moving on to my second dare today! Today's dare says: In addition to saying nothing negative to your spouse again today, do at least one unexpected gesture as an act of kindness. I think that I'm going to iron his pants tonight...I hate ironing clothes, and I rarely do it, so he is very grateful when I do. He has some pants that need to be ironed, so I think that I'll iron those pants today as my gesture of kindness.

We had a busy, fun-filled weekend! We woke at 5:30 AM on Saturday, and we headed to a Vizsla Field Day. Banks was able to run around with other Vizsla's, get in the water and get on some birds. He did so great! We then headed to a friend's house to watch the UGA Game! Yay! We won, but barely squeaked by. On Sunday, Grant went hunting, then he painted our back deck, and we put the crib together! :) Can't wait to show photos of the room in progress...I'm going to take some photos tonight!

It can't be Monday?!

The weekend was a long one, and it still passed by way too quickly. I spent most of the weekend just relaxing. I cleaned the house from top to bottom, I washed all of our clothes and sheets on the bed, I ironed all of the clothes, and I just got things done around the house that I had been putting off for quite some time.

I also took a nap almost everyday, so that was great. I took one on Friday and Saturday, but I didn't take one on Sunday. I got a few new essential clothing items. I got some clothes for work, and I got two new bras which I was in desperate need of since I grew from a 34B to a 34C practically overnight.

I got some sun, and I spent some time with the dog and hanging out with friends. All in all, a great weekend, but I just can't believe that it's Monday. I have a severe case of the Monday's, and I can't concentrate at work nor do I want to be at work. I would love to be back home with my dog, napping on the couch. Oh well, I'm counting down the days 'til this week is over and only 23 more days 'til Grant and I are on our way to the beach! I can't wait! I need another vacation!

Weekend Recap

So, I had one of the best weekends in a long time...Grant and I are constantly on the go, and we rarely have any time to just sit down and relax. This weekend was the first weekend since I can even remember that we didn't have any plans for the entire weekend, and it was absolutely wonderful.

On Friday, my parents came over, because Grant is working on painting the exterior of our house, and he had rented some scaffolding and needed some help getting it up. So, my mom and I just talked and went and got pizza for the workers! :) On Saturday, Grant worked outside all day, and I ran some errands, did some homework for my MBA and went to the baby store in town just to look around. It was really a lot of fun! I also relaxed on the couch and took a nap!

On Sunday, my dad came back over to help Grant some more, and I finished up my homework, made lunch for Grant and Dad and took another nap. It was just awesome to not have to do anything all weekend. To not have to rush around to some event (shower, wedding, get-together, etc.) was awesome!

I'm looking forward to a short week. We have a three and a half day work week, and I'm planning on working from home on Thursday, so it'll be a three day in-office week. It's going to be great. I don't have any meetings this week either, so I'm thrilled! We have no plans for the 4th Of July weekend, but I'm still very excited about it. My parents are going out of town, so we won't see them, and I have a feeling that Grant's parents will be going out of town, as well. But that's okay! We'll have a good time hanging out together...we plan to go see a movie and go see the fireworks in town. We would've gone on vacation to our beach house too, but we decided not to, because Grant wants to finish painting the house this weekend. This weekend marks the anniversary date of our engagement since we got engaged on July 4th, 2008! Yay! :)
