34 Weeks

So, since I didn't post last week, I wanted to make sure that I posted this week...I even allowed Grant to take my picture this morning before he walked out the door when I didn't have make-up on yet, because I wanted to be sure that I got a photo and could do my weekly post.

Here is my 34 week photo...
34 Weeks

Please ignore my face...I was looking pretty rough since I didn't have make-up on yet! I'm sticking more straight out then I was at 32 weeks when I took the last photo, and it looks as though my stomach is a little bit lower now. I'm not sure though! I can't tell! What do you guys think? :)

32 Weeks

How far along? 34 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Not sure...I got to the doctor this morning at 9:15 AM, so I'll find out then, but I'm SURE that I don't want to find out! :)
Maternity clothes? Yes...I'm not wearing anything that's not maternity except for Grant's t-shirts that are a Large and my regular pajama pants. I can still wear a small/medium pajama pants, because I can wear them down low.
Stretch marks? Nope...crossing fingers that I don't get any! :) Starting to put lotion on my stomach more regularly just to be sure!
Sleep: Having a tough time...waking up more and more often to go to the bathroom. I counted four times last night.
Best moment this week: Getting the finished / recovered glider back from my mom! It looks so good, and I love it in his room. Finishing up EVERYTHING in his nursery and bathroom!
Movement: Yes! All the time! I love it, especially in the morning.
Food cravings: Nothing that I can think of...
Gender: Boy
Labor Signs: Not too much this week!
Belly Button in or out? Pretty much flat straight across...interesting looking!
What I am looking forward to: Going to the doctor this morning...I love my visits!
Weekly Wisdom: I don't have any this week...
Milestones: Starting to pack my bag for the hospital and finishing Weston's nursery and bathroom

Falling Behind...

So, I know that I'm actually ahead of schedule when it comes to setting up the Nursery and getting everything done, but I set dates for myself to get things finished by, and I'm starting to fall behind! It should be no big deal, but I'm so Type A, that I want everything to be done like I envision. Anyways, here is my list and my revised dates. I'll be working on some things this weekend. I've removed all the items from the list that have been done for quite some time.

Weston's Nursery

So, we are pretty much finished with the nursery...we've got a few things remaining, but they are minor, so I'll go ahead and post pictures of what we've got finished. I'll post pictures of the glider when it comes back from being recovered, as well as, the lamp and bathroom when we are finished with those. But for now, I'll post some photos that I took earlier this week of Weston's Nursery!

Without further ado...
Crib w/ Initials - The pillow will go on the Glider & the step stool was made by my Grandfather, and it has his name on it! I love it! :)

Window with Valance and Side Table

Dresser w/ Name Blocks above & Diaper Cake from Shower

Sign and Frames...I have no idea what I'm going to put in the Frames!

Behind the door...Bulletin Board my mom made, so we can hang photos!

Closet Door

And that's about it...I'll post more photos later, and I'll post photos of the finished bathroom, when it's complete. I'm so thrilled with how his room turned out! :) What do you guys think?

So, we've actually only got a few things left to do before Weston's arrival...I'll finish up with a few of them tonight, and I'll snap some photos, so I can show them off to you all tomorrow. Here are the last few things that I've got to get done...

Does anyone have any suggestions for someplace to buy some inexpensive white lamp shades? I have the lamp, but I don't have the lamp shades. I'd like to get some cheap white ones, and I was going to decorate them with ribbon. Also, anyone know of where I can get some duck bathroom accessories, like a toothbrush holder. I've looked at Wal-Mart, and I didn't find anything, but I plan to look at Target, as well. If anyone knows of somewhere else to look, let me know.

Well, I guess that's it and the majority won...Weston is going to be a giraffe next year for Halloween! Yay! :)

Finally Painted Nursery, 98 Days & 26 Weeks

So, first I'll share some photos of the finished stripes in Weston's nursery! Grant is SO thrilled to have finished all of the painting. Now, we are steam cleaning the carpet tonight, then we are going to put the crib in and start hanging decorations over the weekend. I'm SO excited to have it start to look like a real nursery! :)

On another note, I had 100 days left to go on Sunday, so I'm down to 98 days today! I'm finally in the two digits rather than three, and I'm SO excited. I can't believe that 168 days have passed since this journey began! It's amazing, and I see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Also, I hit the 26 Week mark today! Grant didn't take a photo of me this morning, because I woke up late or had a hard time getting out of bed, and he was already headed to work before I made it downstairs, so I'm hoping that he'll take one this afternoon, and I can update my post to add a photo. If not, we'll take one tomorrow, and I'll post it then!

Here is my weekly update:
How far along? 26 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 16 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Yes...but I can still wear some non-maternity shirts depending on the type of shirt. I can still wear some of my t-shirts, as well as, some of my longer shirts.
Stretch marks? Nope...crossing fingers that I don't get any! :)
Sleep: Waking up once or twice a night to go to the bathroom, but overall, sleeping fairly well.
Best moment this week: Hitting the 99 day mark and finally being in two digits rather than three!! :)
Movement: Yes! He is moving a lot, and I love it!
Food cravings: Ramen Noodles
Gender: Boy
Labor Signs: Nope, hopefully not for a little while longer.
Belly Button in or out? In but getting more shallow
What I am looking forward to: Putting the furniture in the Nursery and Decorating! And my Family Baby shower this upcoming Saturday! It is going to be so much fun!
Weekly Wisdom: I don't know...I guess I don't have any this week! :)
Milestones: Hitting the 99 day mark!! Yipee!!

Also, I passed my gestational diabetes screening, so no diabetes for me! I'm SO excited! This is great, and I'm thrilled that I have one less thing to worry about. They also tested my iron level while I was there last week, and it came back okay, as well. It's been a great week, and we've gotten so much accomplished. I can't wait to get more done, so we can get everything ready to go. Our weekends are booked solid for the next few months. I actually don't have a "free" weekend until January, so it's going to be busy, but we'll get it all done somehow! I'll be updating my To Do List today, as well, so if you are interested, check it out.

Calling All Painters!!

I'm going to call my dad over and see if he can help us with painting Weston's nursery! Grant started taping off the walls last night, and he didn't get very far! He got so frustrated with the entire process that he gave up, and I don't think that I'll be able to get him to do anymore taping. I think I can convince him to do the painting, but it looks like the taping is out. My dad is a perfectionist, as is Grant, so he'll likely get frustrated too, but I'm going to see if he can come help us out next Sunday or the following week sometime. We'll see! Grant really wants me to give up on the stripes, but I have my heart set on them, and I think we can do it...it's just time consuming.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to get the tape on the wall straight? Especially going all the way around the room it's difficult to make sure everything lines up, particularly at the corners.

Weston's Nursery

So, I have wanted to have a boy first for as long as I can remember, and Grant wants two boys, but we'll see about that! :) I have had nursery ideas picked out since way before he was even thought about, and so, I was really hoping for a boy. We have bought paint and tape for the stripes, and we've done a first coat of blue pant on the walls. I am so excited about his nursery, and I can't wait to show you all the photos.

I made a collage of photos (see below) that I've been collected, which includes the nursery that I'm designing Weston's after, so you can get an idea of what it'll look like. If you click on the photo, it'll open up larger. It's the nursery with stripes and blue walls...I'm obviously going to have some differences, but it'll be fairly similar, as I loved this nursery immediately and the stripes on the wall! I can't wait until it's finished. I'm so excited about. Also, our crib came in, so we get to go pick it up on Saturday! Yay!! I'll post pictures of the first coat of paint and our progress as we go along.Oh yeh...I forgot to add his nightlight to the collage, but you can't go without seeing it. I love it!!

Getting Ready to Paint!!

Grant & I are getting ready to paint Weston's nursery in the coming week, and I'm so excited. We've moved everyone out of his room that was in their before (dresser, bed, etc.), and we've moved it to it's new home. We have bought the paint, and we've got all of our supplies together. Now, we are ready to begin...I can't wait to get started painting his nursery, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

We are painting his room blue with a thick white strip down the center, then a green and a brown stripe on either side of the thick white stripe. I saw this online, and it turned out really cute for them, so I'm hoping that it turns out well for us also! I'm excited, and I can't wait to begin. I'll take photos of us painting the nursery and post them once we get started. :)

On another note, I'm going to eat Mexican tonight with three of my closet friends, and I can't wait. We have been trying to meet up at least every other month for dinner or just to hang out, so I'm looking forward to it. The last one of them got engaged since the last time we saw one another too...the other three of us are already married. So, I'm looking forward to catching up and hearing wedding plans. I'll leave you with a photo of my favorite girls!

Decorations for the Nursery

So, I ordered some wall canvases for the nursery a few weeks ago, and they came in the mail on Monday. I love them! I'm so excited about painting the room this weekend and putting the crib in the room and hanging up my decorations. They turned out so great, and I am so grateful that I found Brandie at Dream Custom Artwork. If you need any artwork for all holidays or for your own home, check her out. She does a great job! She is really quick and easy to work with, and I'm so pleased with the final results!

Check them out...What do you guys think?
