Question and Answers

So, I recently reached a little over 100 Followers, and I thought that it might be fun to do a Question & Answer post, but I'm not sure anyone would even have any questions for me, because I'm not sure that my life is that interesting, but I'm going to go for it anyways.

Please feel free to ask me anything that you can think of...anything at all, and I'll post my responses to your questions next week.

Hope everyone has a great weekend! And what post is complete without a photo of this little guy?!

My Heart

I can't believe how crazy in love I am with this little guy...he's my heart and everything that I do is for him!

Today was the craziest day, and he was an angel through it all! My car battery died, and I had to get jumped three times. Once I finally made it home, it wouldn't start at all. We had to buy and install a new battery this evening, so I could get to work tomorrow. Also, Grant is sick, so I'm parenting all alone until he gets back to normal. We don't want him anywhere near us, because he is sick to his stomach, and I don't think I could be a good mom and breastfeed if I was nauseous and throwing up, but I'm not sure that I'd get a break. He is sleeping on the couch tonight, in hopes that we don't get sick! :( I definitely am grateful that I have his help most of the time!

Disgusted

I'm feeling totally disgusted and sick to my stomach right now...I'm not going to go into details, but it really sucks when loved ones let their temper get the best of them and make a decision that they'll regret and will ultimately hurt their family.

As I say my prayers tonight, I'll be sure to say an extra special prayer that when people out there get angry that instead of doing something that they regret, that they'll walk away from the situation, count to ten or whatever else makes them feel better and come back ready to make the right decision and be rational about the situation.

A bad temper is a nasty thing, and it can truly hurt those that you love and cause serious regret! :(

Our Schedule

So, everyone has been posting about their daily schedules lately, so I thought that I would share mine and Weston's daily schedule. It can get a bit hectic and chaotic, but I love it, and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

Daily Schedule
5:45 AM - Wake up & prepare for work
6:15 AM - Weston up, dressed & nurse
6:45 AM - Play with Weston & finish packing the car for daycare
7:00 AM - Leave for Daycare
7:20 AM - Drop W off at Daycare
7:30 AM - Arrive at the office
10:30 AM - W eats and I pump at the office
12:00 PM - Run errands
2:30 PM - W eats and I pump at the office
4:00 PM - Leave office
4:10 PM - Pick up W from Daycare
4:45 PM - Arrive at Home, W finishes up nap in crib while I start dinner
5:15 PM - W wakes up, and we play, Dad arrives home, and we eat dinner or go on a walk if it's nice out and save dinner until after W goes to bed
6:00 PM - Play with W, sing, read books, bath-time, etc.
6:30 PM - Nurse Weston
6:45 PM - Play, read, sing, say our prayers, etc. before W goes to bed
7:00 - 7:15 PM - W goes to bed
7:15 PM - Straighten up house, prepare W's things for daycare the following day, make bottles, do laundry, iron clothes, get clothes prepared for following day, run out to the store for emergency items, if necessary.
9:00 PM - Shower, Dry and Straighten hair
10:00 PM - Dreamfeed for Weston
10:30 PM - Bed

So, that's how our day goes, and I haven't watched TV since I went back to work. We are going to cut off our cable, because it's a waste of time and money. I'd rather spend my time playing with W rather than watching TV and when he goes to bed, I don't have time for it anyways! It's a busy life, and I often feel tired, and I don't typically get in bed by 10:00 PM. I'm not sure what I do that takes so long, but it is usually more like 10:30 - 11:00 PM, but Weston is sleeping pretty well, so I'm getting good sleep. I love our busy schedule, and I wouldn't change anything about it!

Busy & just a little bit stressed...

So, life is going to be extremely busy until the end of June...I mean 90 mph, non-stop busy, and I'm getting a little bit stressed thinking about all that we have to do and all that's going on and how I'm going to manage, as well as, spend time with my little guy. I'm trying to relax and let it go, but it's tough. Here is what my schedule looks like for the next few months:

Weekend of April 17th - My Birthday (4/17), Cousin's Wedding in Lagrange (3 hr. drive) and spending the night in a hotel with Baby W for the first time (4/17), Lunch in Atlanta on way home with family for mine and Grant's birthday (4/18).

Weekend of April 24th - 5K Race in Athens, GA (4/24), Pick-up Cake & Cook for Weston's Baptism (4/24), Weston's Baptism & Brunch at our House (4/25)

Weekend of May 15th - Rehearsal Dinner for Wedding Grant is in (5/14), Wedding (5/15)

Weekend of May 22nd - Bachelorette Party (5/22) for my friend, Abby

Weekend of May 29th - Bachelorette Party (5/30) for my friend, Natalie

Weekend of June 5th - Rehearsal Dinner for Abby's Wedding - I'm a BM (6/4), Wedding (6/5)

Weekend of June 12th - RELAX!, Visit with Grant's friends growing up who had a son in February at Grant's parents house

Weekend of June 19th - Rehearsal Dinner for Natalie's Wedding - I'm a BM (6/18), Wedding (6/19)

Weekend of 26th - St. Augustine, FL for Family Vacation and Family Reunion (06/23-06/27)

I have two more weddings in the summer...one in July and one in August, but we aren't in the wedding, so it'll be a lot more relaxing. And we have no weekend plans in July or August yet. I'm hoping that we can just relax some. In addition to everything that we've got going on listed above, we are also currently in the process of installing a security system...long story and replacing our floors and getting all hardwood floors, as well as, replacing the countertops, kitchen sink and adding backsplash.

It's going to be a LONG and BUSY summer!

Recommend Your Toys

So, I know that this is my third post of the day, and I have even more that I could post about, but I suppose that I'll stop after this post and save all of my other ideas for next week. At my lunch break today, I was shopping around Target, and I saw all kinds of fun toys, and I can't wait for Weston to start playing with toys and entertaining himself on the floor. It's going to be so much fun!

And I know that kids like anything, and even more, they'll like things that aren't even toys, but my questions for everyone is...what toys do you or your children like best? Any recommendations for toys for now and as Weston get's older. Please share... :)

The Family

I honestly don't believe that our little family of four could be any more perfect...I am SO blessed, and I love all three of my boys! I'm having such a great day, and I'm feeling so happy and excited. Weston slept from 7:30 PM to 6:30 AM last night, and we got a full night of rested sleep! I hope he keeps it up! I better *knock on wood* that I didn't jinx us.

On another note, I am down 30 lbs since giving birth. Only 2 more lbs until my pre-pregnancy weight and only 5 or so more until I meet the new goal that I've set for myself. And I fit back into my normal jeans this morning for the first time. Life is great! :)

And...I think it'll be a REALLY long time before we can get both Weston & Banks to look at the camera or even in the same direction!

New Look...

So, I've finally got a new look with Weston's newborn photos, and I've changed the name from "History of the Harvey's" to "Happenings of the Harvey's"...I figured that it wasn't really the history of our lives but our everyday happenings, so it only made sense to change the name! :)

I hope everyone likes the new blog design...Thanks to Kelly over at Three kids, a mini-van and a lot of love! She did a great job and was so easy to work with! Thanks again!

Well, I'm off to do some schoolwork...I have 16 Days until grades are due, and I've completed by MBA! I'm so excited, and I can't wait to finish my degree!

Diapers.com

So, I've been ordering all of our diapers so far from Diapers.com, and I've been able to use coupon codes, and I've been able to get $10 off each order of diapers plus free shipping for any order over $49. It's been great! They have so many products, including diapers. Has anyone else ever ordered anything from them? They also have two-day shipping so your items arrive really quickly!

Anyways, I have been very pleased with their service and the ability to use coupons. If you haven't bought diapers or other baby products from there yet, check them out. You can use the code 'RACH4126' and receive $10 off your first order of diapers and free shipping!

Hope those who haven't already check it out!

Before I was a Mom...

Before I was a Mom, I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom, I had never been puked on. Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on. I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts. I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom, I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. Or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom, I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put him down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom, I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom, Ihad never goten up in the middle of the night, every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay. I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.

I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.
